Hey there, I’m Alyssa Stolk! The face behind Interstellar Photography.
(I've never really been good at the "About me" sections, so please bear with me!!!)
I’m a wife to a loving supportive husband and mama to 4 beautiful kiddos. We have 4 kids under the age of 5, so you could only imagine the amount of bittersweet chaos in our home. (And the importance of coffee!!!)
I know It’s cliché but… I always had a passion for photography. In 2010, I received a camera for my class trip to Quebec. I took photos of pretty much everything! Yes… sadly, that includes the Justin Bieber posters that were hanging above my bed. Thankfully, that passion grew into nature photography. (PHEW!) For quite a few years, I spent a lot of time capturing images that reflected on the beauty of nature. Truth be told, I still do! Then my oldest was born in 2019, and that’s when I really began to realize the importance of a photo. That’s when my passion for photographing the love and connection between people, and being the one to document their story through an image, started. In 2020, I received a camera for my birthday and that is when I leaped to the idea of creating Interstellar Photography.
My goal as your photographer is to deliver photos to you that tell YOUR story. Whatever season you may be in in your life, I want to be there to capture those moments so that later down the road you can remember those moments as if they were captured the day before.
I want to capture the REAL, un-posed photos. So, if you choose me as your photographer, be prepared for weird requests, lots of laughs, and a whole lot of love and snuggles!
